NVR was formed during the fall of 2015 through the purchase of a professional outplacement company known as Transition With Confidence, a firm with Cincinnati roots dating back to 1991. The new name of the firm reflects the very personal role that the new owners intend to take in the work performed with every client. While NVR will continue to offer outplacement services for both companies and individuals, we will also be expanding our reach into the areas of career coaching, college and university student advisory services, and talent development.
Every Client is Unique
Because each client’s career objectives are unique, so is our service. We do not believe in the exclusive use of group coaching or internet-based assessment tools, or standardized “cookie cutter” approaches for any of the services we offer. Each client will, instead, work with an individually chosen, experienced coach to develop a full understanding of their greatest strengths and passions, and will focus their work with us around those specific attributes.
We Stay With You
Regardless of the service you may choose from among our various offerings, you can take comfort in knowing that we will remain with you from the beginning to the end of the process. We don’t offer 30, 60 or 90 day programs for any of our offerings. Rather, we remain with you until the agreed-upon objectives have been reached.
Deeply Connected with Cincinnati
NVR is all about Cincinnati. Our founders have a deep passion and appreciation for this area, and a well-developed understanding of the business communities within it. This includes meaningful, long-term relationships with the leadership teams at many of the area’s top firms.
Given our ties within the community, we are uniquely suited to help anyone wishing to remain in, or locate to, Cincinnati during their career advancement.
Meet Our Founders
Fran Nunan has maintained a deep passion for helping to coach college and university students and executives in transition, throughout her business career. Fran graduated from the University of Cincinnati and began her career at The Procter & Gamble Company. At P&G, she gravitated toward Human Resources responsibilities within the operating groups to which she was assigned, leveraging her natural people skills and compassion for helping others to find their best self. After 14 years progressing through a series of operational assignments at Procter, Fran left to establish her own HR consulting practice, focused on upgrading and developing talent. Subsequent to owning her own practice, Fran served in the senior HR leadership roles at both Hydro Systems Company and School Outfitters. Fran holds the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) designation, as well as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She continues to spend a large amount of her time coaching and guiding students and young professionals to discover their deepest passions and matching them with well-aligned career paths.
Jeff Rowe retired from Fortune 500 Dover Corporation in 2015. Jeff started his career in Paper Product Sales with The Procter & Gamble Company, and also spent time with General Electric’s Aircraft Engine Business Group, and with Xtek, a manufacturer of aftermarket components for heavy industry, prior to joining Hydro. Jeff led Dover’s Hydro Systems Company subsidiary since 1998, serving as President and CEO. The culture which Jeff and his leadership team created at Hydro became legendary within Dover Corporation for its unique “one for all and all for one” orientation, and for the extraordinary focus which the company maintained on treating employees like owners. The Hydro business grew by more than five times in sales and earnings during Jeff’s leadership of the company, leveraging the emphasis which the leadership team placed on recruiting and developing great talent to execute against a simple, tightly-focused business strategy. Like Steve and Fran, Jeff has long held a passion for helping young people discover their deepest passions and career aspirations, as well as for assisting business executives in transition. In fact, the College-to-Career Coaching program which NVR offers leverages many of the learnings from a service Jeff and his team at Hydro provided to children of the company’s employees.
